SLEEVES ARE CONSTRUCTED OF CENTRIFUGALLY CAST DUCTILE IRON, MANUFACTURED BY DARTON SLEEVES. STEVE DEMIRJIAN , CO PATENT DEVELOPER OF THE DARTON LINER HAS BEEN OUR DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER ON THE 3.5 LITER BLOCKS SINCE IT'S CONCEPTION. BORE SIZE IS AVAILABLE UP TO 89 MM TO ACHIEVE A 3.5 LITER WITH A OEM CRANKSHAFT. UTILIZING A DIFFERENT FERRARI CRANKSHAFT, WE CAN YIELD UP TO 4 LITERS IN DISPLACEMENT. EACH SLEEVE HAS BEEN MACHINED WITH 6 COOLING FINS TO INCREASE SURFACE AREA WHILE DIRECTING COOLANT AROUND THESE CUSTOM SLEEVES THE 3.5 LITER & UP TO 4 LITER ARE DESIGNED TO BE USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH EVANS COOLANT TWO O RING GROOVES HAVE BEEN MACHINED INTO THE LOWER CYLINDER BARREL TO SEAL COOLANT PASSAGES FROM THE CRANKCASE OEM LINERS EMPLOY A SINGLE O- RING LOCATED AT THE CHAMFER ABOVE THE BORE BLOCK THE 3.5 & OPTIONAL 4 LITER SEALING METHOD IS SUPERIOR IN DESIGN THIS TECHNOLOGY HAS PROVEN SUCCESSFUL IN SEVERAL RACING & HIGH PERFORMANCE APPLICATIONS INCLUDING TUNER CARS & HIGH BOOST APPLICATIONS. THIS TYPE OF TECHNOLOGY ALONG WITH THE USE OF OUR CUSTOM HEAD GASKETS WILL ALLOW SAFE BOOST UP TO 30 PSI FOR FORCED INDUCTION APPLICATIONS. |
